» राजू एक शांत गाँव मे रहता था। एक दिन उसे अपने चाचा के घर जाना पड़ा, जो जंगल के पार एक छोटे से गाँव मे रहते थे। शाम को दे हो जाने के कारण राजू को पैदल ही उस सुनसान जंगल से होकर जाना पड़ा।
» गाँव वालों ने उसे चेतावनी दी थी - रास्ते मे कोई भी आवाज आए तो पलट कर मत देखना ....
» राजू ने बात को मजाक मे उड़ा दिया।
» जैसे - जैसे वह जंगल मे आगे बढ़ा । अंधेरा गहराता गया। अचानक उसे पीछे से किसी के चलने की आवाज आई - सुखी पत्तियों पर भारी
कदमों की खड़खड़ाहट ।
» राजू ने डर को नजरअंदाज किया और चलता रहा। आवाज तेज होती गई, जैसे कोई उसके बहुत करीब आ गया हो।
फिर एक फुसफुसाती सी आवाज आई - राजू ... रुक जा . .,,,,
» राजू का दिल जोर – जोर से धड़कने लगा, लेकिन उसने गाँव वालों की बात याद रखी - पलट कर मत देखना ।
» पर डर के मारे उसका संयम टूट गया । उसने जैसे ही पीछे पलट कर देखा ......
» एक बिना चहरे वाली औरत, उलटे पैरों के साथ उसके पीछे खड़ी थी।
» राजू के मुंह से चीख भी न निकल सकी। अगले दिन जंगल के किनारे एक पेड़ से लटका उसका शरीर मिला.... आंखे खुली थी और मुंह पे ऐसे डर जैसा मौत भी डर गई हो।
> गाँव वाले अब और सख्त हो गए । पलट कर मत देखना, अब ये सिर्फ चेतावनी नही, कानून है।
» राजू की मौत के बाद गाँव मे एक अजीब सी चुप्पी छा गई थी। लोग अब शाम ढलते ही दरवाजा बन कर लेते थे।
» लेकिन कहानी यहीं खत्म नही हुई ||||||
» राजू की छोटी बहन नेहा, जो शहर मे पढ़ रही थी, जब उसे अपने भाई राजू की रहस्यमयी मौत की खबर मिली, तो वह गाँव लौट कर वापस आयी।
» उसने किसी कि बात नही सुनी ।, मैं जानना चाहती हूँ की मेरे भाई के साथ क्या हुआ है ?
» गाँव के बुजुर्गों ने फिर चेतावनी दी - उस जंगल मे मत जाना,,, और अगर गई तो पीछे मत देखना ।


» लेकिन नेहा ने ठान लिया था । एक रात चुपके से वह उसी रास्ते पर निकल पड़ी - जिस रास्ते पर राजू की मौत हुई थी।
» जंगल मे घुसते ही अजीब सी ठंडक महसूस हुयी, पेड़ों की शाखाये जैसे फुसफुसा रही थी । और फिर.....
» फिर वही आवाज आई - नेहा ... मत जा ......
» नेहा का दिल कांप उठा, लेकिन वह रुकी नही ।
» कुछ कदम और चली ... और अब वो आवाज बहुत पास थी।
» नेहा देख मुझे.
» नेहा ने आंखे बंद कर ली, और गाँव वालों की बात दोहराती रही - पलट कर मत देखना ...
» पर तभी एक जानी-पहचानी आवाज ने पुकारा- नेहा मैं हूँ, तेरा भाई,,,,,,
» उसका दिल डोल गया । नेहा ने धीरे से आंखे खोली और पलट गई ....
जंगल मे एक परछाई खड़ी थी - जो राजू की तरह दिख रही थी, लेकिन उसकी आंखे काली थी और चेहरा पिघली हुई मोम की तरह .....
» मैं अब तेरा भाई नही.... परछाई मुस्कुराई और अंधेरे मे समा गई ।
» अगली सुबह, गाँव के पास एक लड़की मिली ... I, बेहोश, पर जिंदा ।
» पर जब उसने आंखे खोली तो वह नेहा नही थी........
» उसकी आवाज मे कोई और बोल रहा था - अब एक और आत्मा जाग चुकी थी ।।।।।।
» नेहा का शरीर अब गाँव मे था, लेकिन उसमे नेहा नही थी।
» उसकी आंखे खाली लगती थी - जैसे कोई और देख रहा हो । उसकी आवाज बदल गई थी । वह घंटों अकेले बैठी रहती, पेड़ों की ओर ताकती, और कभी - कभी बुदबुदाती - रास्ता खुल गया है.....
» गाँव के पंडित ने महसूस किया कि कुछ बेहद बुरा हुआ है । उन्होंने कहा : यह लड़की अब इंसान नही रही। जंगल की आत्मा अब इसके इस दुनिया मे आना चाहती है ।


» पर नेहा की अब असली आत्मा कहाँ थी ?
• दूसरी ओर .....
» नेहा की आत्मा एक अंधेरे, सर्द और धुंध से भरी जगह मे कैद थी । वहाँ समय नही था, रोशनी नही थी- सिर्फ एक आवाज गूँजती थी । तू पलटी क्यूँ ?
» नेहा रोती रही डरती रही। लेकिन धीरे - धीरे उसने महसूस किया कि वह अकेली नही है ।
» कहीं से कोई और आत्मा बोल रही थी, मैं राजू हु । .... राजू की आत्मा वहीं थी - अधूरी पर जिंदा ।
» नेहा और राजू ने तय किया – उन्हे भागना होगा।
» हर आत्मा जो पीछे पलटी थी, उस जंगल मए फंसी थी। लेकिन एक दरवाजा था- एक मौका वापसी का । पर उसे पार करने के लिए अपने सबसे बड़े डर का सामना करना होता था ।
» नेहा ने देखा – उसका डर एक औरत थी - वही बिना चेहरा वाली, उलटे पैरों वाली परछाई - जो अब उसके सामने खड़ी थी ।
» उसने पुछा - मुझे क्यूँ कैद किया है ?
» और परछाई ने जवाब दिया ... कि तुमने पलट कर देखा ... और अब तुम भी देखोगी महसूस करोगी, कैद रहोगी ... जब तक कोई और नही पलटे ......
» लेकिन नेहा डरने बजाय आगे बढ़ी.. - मैं नही डरती और मैं राजू अपने भाई को भी साथ ले जाऊँगी !
» उसने आत्मा की आँखों मे देखा और पहली बार, परछाई पीछे हटी, ।
गाँव मे उसी रात नेहा के शरीर मे जोर का झटका लगा । वह जमीन पर गिरी और जब वह उठी - उसकी आँखों मे फिर से वही रोशनी थी
» नेहा वापस आ गई थी। पर उसने एक बात महसूस की..... . कोई उसके साथ आया था ।

• और जंगल .... ? अब और भी भयानक हो चुका था ।


क्योंकि अब वो परछाई किसी और की राह देख रही थी । ..... शायद तुम्हें । .।।

                                                                           Witch In The Forest

» Raju lived in a quiet village. One day he had to go to his uncle's house, who lived in a small village across the forest. As it was getting late in the evening, Raju had to walk through the deserted forest.
The villagers had warned him - if you hear any sound on the way, don't look back...
» Raju took the matter lightly.
» As he moved further into the forest, the darkness deepened. Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him—heavy footsteps on the dry leaves.
The rattling of footsteps.
Raju ignored his fear and continued walking. The sound grew louder, as if someone was getting very close to him.
Then a whispering voice came - Raju... stop...
» Raju's heart started beating fast, but he remembered what the villagers had said - don't look back.
» But fear broke his composure. As he looked back...
» A faceless woman stood behind him with her feet upside down.
Raju couldn't even utter a scream. The next day, his body was found hanging from a tree at the edge of the forest... his eyes were open and his face was filled with fear, as if even death itself had been frightened.
> The villagers have become even more strict. Don't look back, this isn't just a warning, it's the law.
After Raju's death, a strange silence had descended on the village. People would now close their doors as soon as evening fell.
» But the story did not end here ||||||
» Raju's younger sister Neha, who was studying in the city, returns to the village when she gets the news of her brother Raju's mysterious death.
» He didn't listen to anyone. I want to know what happened to my brother?
» The elders of the village again warned - do not go into that forest, and if you go, do not look back.


But Neha was determined. One night, she secretly set out on the same path where Raju had died.
» As we entered the forest, we felt a strange chill, the branches of the trees whispering. And then…
» Then the same voice came - Neha... don't go...
» Neha's heart trembled, but she did not stop.
» She walked a few more steps... and now that voice was very close.
» Neha look at me.
» Neha closed her eyes and kept repeating what the villagers had said – don't look back…
» But then a familiar voice called out - Neha, it's me, your brother.
Her heart sank. Neha slowly opened her eyes and turned around.
There was a shadow standing in the forest - which looked like Raju, but his eyes were black and his face was like melted wax...
» I am not your brother anymore... The shadow smiled and disappeared into the darkness.
» The next morning, a girl was found near the village... I, unconscious, but alive.
» But when he opened his eyes, it was not Neha........
» Someone else was speaking in his voice – now another soul had awakened.
» Neha's body was now in the village, but Neha was not in it.
Her eyes seemed vacant—as if someone else were watching. Her voice had changed. She would sit alone for hours, staring at the trees, and sometimes mutter, "The path has opened..."
The village priest sensed something terrible had happened. He said, "This girl is no longer human. The spirit of the forest now wants to come into her world."


» But where was Neha's real soul now?
• On the other end .....
Neha's soul was trapped in a dark, cold, and misty place. There was no time, no light—only a voice echoed. Why did you turn around?
Neha cried and remained afraid. But gradually she realized she was not alone.
» From somewhere, another spirit was speaking, "I am Raju." .... Raju's spirit was there - incomplete but alive.
» Neha and Raju decided – they had to run away.
"Every soul that turned back was trapped in that forest. But there was a door—a chance to return. But to cross it, one had to face one's greatest fear.
» Neha looked – her fear was a woman – the same faceless, inverted-footed shadow – who was now standing in front of her.
» He asked – Why have you imprisoned me?
» And the shadow replied... that you looked back... and now you too will see, feel, and remain imprisoned... until someone else turns back...
» But instead of getting scared, Neha moved ahead.. - I am not scared and I will take Raju, my brother, along with me!
» He looked into the soul's eyes and for the first time, the shadow retreated.
That night in the village, Neha's body felt a violent shock. She fell to the ground, and when she woke up, her eyes were lit again.
» Neha had returned. But she realized something... someone had come with her.

» Now Raju was also always in his shadow.
• And the forest....? It had become even more terrifying now.


Because now that shadow was waiting for someone else... maybe you...
